Bejeweled!

Mornin' all. Thought I'd share a little project that I did last year. I took my Mom's and MIL's old rhinestone jewelry and made a wreath. I wasn't sure if I wanted to keep it this way, so I just T pinned the jewelry rather than remove the backs and hot glue it. If I had glued it, I could have used a lot of bits and pieces to fill in. I covered a straw wreath with ribbon and pinned them on. It takes quite a bit of jewelry. Ideally, I would love a two-toned look. Maybe with gold and red or silver and blue. I didn't have enough to do that so I just mixed it up.

  8. Good Evening Nan,
Sorry for being so late in posting, but today has been a busy day for me. Hubby had to leave out late this afternoon and I had laundry to do for him and then cook for everyone and then cook again for the kids tonight. I is TARD. LOL. I hope to post in the morning. Hopefully things will get back to normal tomorrow. I love that wreath. It is so beautiful. I never thought about putting jewelry on one before. I'm not fixing any new wreaths this year. I have 3 that I have made from several years ago. It has been raining here all day. Well, take care my friend and have a Blessed evening. May God Bless You and Yours.

    Hugs,
    Karen H.

  10. The wreath is beautiful. I have some old costume jewelry around here, but not enough to make a wreath. You're quite talented to think of this. It's very unique.

    Blessings,
    Mary

  11. Linda- I display it in my wine cabinet in my kitchen dining area. I opened the door for the picture so it would be easier to see.
