I would love to have a spa shower, like described by K and K.... could you get a jetted hot tub to add to the desirability of your home's resale value?Terri Steffeshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02544793349029524184noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7138079279589011429.post-27173230088109632562008-01-21T22:34:00.000-05:002008-01-21T22:34:00.000-05:00I saw as long as you have one tub in the house, go...I saw as long as you have one tub in the house, go for the bigger/better shower and closet.Meggiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06757567456934248035noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7138079279589011429.post-24328621658109536992008-01-21T18:41:00.000-05:002008-01-21T18:41:00.000-05:00Oh, I have to disagree with everyone else so far! ...Oh, I have to disagree with everyone else so far! I would NOT take a tub out - especially one with jets! I LOVE long baths and would feel like I was in Heaven if I had a jetted tub. Of course since you don't use it much and your hubby would like - and could use - a closet and a bigger shower, why don't you ship the tub to me and we will figure out where to put it! Now there's a thought!

Seriously, though, I don't think it will make a lot of difference for resale since there is a tub in the house. I'm sure you would love having the bigger shower. And more closet space.

~Adrienne~Adriennehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09401476871614514660noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7138079279589011429.post-9201818728025654292008-01-21T16:53:00.000-05:002008-01-21T16:53:00.000-05:00I would do whatever pleases you and don't worry ab...I would do whatever pleases you and don't worry about the resale.
I love showers myself and would rather have one over a bath!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7138079279589011429.post-55768856908433279832008-01-21T14:54:00.000-05:002008-01-21T14:54:00.000-05:00What a great remodel this will be...we love it whe...What a great remodel this will be...we love it when the room is personalized to your needs... and if there is another tub on that same level, a large shower and extra closet space may be perceived as even better for resale!!

There are so many great spa shower set ups with wall jets, you might discover a whole new shower experience!! Since I only have a bath and a half, I would want a bigger bathroom with everything in it. LOL. I would love to have my own bathroom with a jacuzzi in it. I have seen on HGTV, the House Hunter Shows, where they have a separate larger shower and then the bathtub in it. I usually just take a shower, but if I had a jetted tub, I would use it. That's just me tho. Good Luck on whatever you decide. Take care my friend and have a great day. May God Bless You and Yours.

Love & Hugs,
Karen H.Karen H.https://www.blogger.com/profile/02296807307750567830noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7138079279589011429.post-44362679453758617242008-01-20T18:49:00.000-05:002008-01-20T18:49:00.000-05:00Nan,Sorry, my mistake, the plates are from TJ - I ...Nan,

Sorry, my mistake, the plates are from TJ - I just checked the label. As long as you have one tub you should be OK for resale. The beautiful showers of today have the body heads coming out of one side, my daughter redid their shower and it is HUGH. Bench, insets for shampoos and etc. 2 large shower heads so that two can shower at a time (if you can do this, bet you would LOVE it). Daughter has a beautiful, vintage tub that she soaks in about once a year!!!!
I myself am a tub person but hubby couldn't live without his shower...most everyone showers now. I don't think it would hurt the resale value one little bit.
How exciting!
hugs, bjbjhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04432398383127199206noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7138079279589011429.post-5728268863377968162008-01-20T00:35:00.000-05:002008-01-20T00:35:00.000-05:00I have 3 bathrooms too...lower level is just a 1/2...I have 3 bathrooms too...lower level is just a 1/2 bath with sink and toilet...theres a bathroom between the kids room with tub/shower etc and in my master I have a HUGE bathroom with separate shower and soaker tub which I think I've used maybe 3 times in the past 2 years!! LOL I would love to have a BIGGER shower instead of the tub with somewhere to sit and shelves for smelly things!!BittersweetPunkinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14661858934587897961noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7138079279589011429.post-18507277634603883432008-01-19T23:27:00.000-05:002008-01-19T23:27:00.000-05:00Hi Nan...well here is my perspective since you ask...Hi Nan...well here is my perspective since you asked - ha! I have 3 bathrooms in my two story, the bathroom on the main level has a toilet, small shower, and sink. Then we have the main bath on the 2nd floor with a tub...etc...our master bath has a larger shower, toilet and sink area...I can tell you I would not change one thing about it. I have never taken a bath in this house and we've been here for three years...I'm just too busy. My sister has a huge master bathroom with the works...and she tells me she dusts the big tub because they never use it. So, I think it would not affect resale since you already have one tub in the house.

The plates are from Marshall's...I say go and get some they were only $3.99 a plate...and I can tell you that pictures don't do them justice.

Good luck on your remodel, it sounds wonderful! Can't wait to see what you'll decide.

RoseKissing of the Frogshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11621769823368917856noreply@blogger.com
