Be my guest

Some friends and I were talking about what makes a guest room comfortable. I don't have a very big room for guests but I hope they are comfortable in it. Using a trundle bed allows some walk around room when I have only one guest. The trundle pulls out and up making a place for two.

A small spot in the closet or wardrobe for hanging or folded items. My armoire has a small TV in it and some fresh towels.
A place to sit.
A few soaps and fragrant items. I try to have a basket of travel sizes items like shampoos and toothpaste in case they forget something.

I need one of these. A luggage rack or somewhere to place a suitcase or bag.
Nice sheets, extra blankets, and pillows. Ironing sheets is nice with a linen spray. I usually sprinkle some baby powder into my pillow cases.
I think an alarm clock, a night table on which to place a few personal items, and a reading light are nice to have. Curtains or shades allow for privacy. I have a mirror on one wall. I like to clear my clutter too.

What would you like to have as a guest in someone's home?

Your guest room looks most inviting! I appreciate an alarm clock when away. Fluffy towels are a real pleasure also.

Your guest room is a five star room. I wouldn’t want something more you thought of everything. It is great and a true pleasure to be your guest.

Good Morning Nan
"THANK YOU" for letting me stay in your Guest Room. It is so comfy and very beautiful. I don't need the alarm clock since I use one everyday. LOL. I'll just let you wake me up. I love the Amoire. The goodies in the bathroom are nice as well. I don't think I could use anything else. Well, let's see, if you have an extra million just lingering around. LOL. Take care my friend and have a great day. May God Bless You and Yours. I enjoyed my stay in your Guest Room.

Love & Hugs,
Karen H.

Oh, can I come stay in your guest room? But I don't want the alarm clock, thank you - I'll be on vacation from clocks! Your room is wonderful. Just cozy and comfy. I'm getting to re-do ours. I'm taking a hide-a-bed out and putting a daybed with pull-up trundle in. I'll share it with you when it happens. Won't be quite yet. Have to finish another project first.

Wow - I love your guest room!! It's beautiful! When I'm a guest in someone's home, I like to have a bedside table where I can put a glass of water, kleenex, and a spot for jewelry. My husband likes guest rooms that have a table, comfy chair and bright lighting to read a book or the newspaper. Hope that helps! Have a great weekend!
