Hippity Hoppity.....Easter's on it's way!

I found these adorable plates at TJ Maxx. If you look closely, you can see faint images of bunnies or baby chicks. This is about it for Easter decor at my house. Do you decorate for Easter?

Easter is early this year. Easter is always the 1st Sunday after the
1st full moon after the Spring Equinox (which is March 20). This dating

of Easter is based on the lunar calendar that Hebrew people used to
identify Passover, which is why it moves around on our Roman calendar.
Based on the above, Easter can actually be one day earlier (March 22)
but that is pretty rare.

Here's the interesting info. This year is the earliest Easter any of
us will ever see the rest of our lives! And only the most elderly of
our population have ever seen it this early (95 years old or above!).
And none of us have ever, or will ever, see it a day earlier! Here are
the facts:

1) The next time Easter will be this early (March 23) will be the year
2228 (220 years from now). The last time it was this early was 1913 (so

if you're 95 or older, you are the only ones that were around for
that!).

2) The next time it will be a day earlier, March 22, will be in the
year 2285 (277 years from now). The last time it was on March 22 was
1818. So, no one alive today has or will ever see it any earlier than
this year!

Those plates are just the cutest, Nan! I just may have to run over to my TJ Maxx and see what I can find. I stopped over to see Rue...love her blog...and her doggies.

Nan, Those plates are so cute and I love the bunny on the table :) I've never decorated for Easter in my life, but I went to Kroger (grocery store) and two really cute bunnies were calling me over to them, so for two bucks a piece (can you believe it?) I snatched them up :) I think I've caught the Easter decorating bug! I'll try and post them tomorrow, but the last two times I tried to upload pics it took forever! Wish me luck...

Ohhhh Nan,
I just love this plate and in such nice pastel colors, adorable!!!
Interesting facts, we don't even realize what unique moments we are able to be part of. My Easter this year is 4 weeks after yours (as you remember I am Orthodox)but yes this year it is very early.
I like to decorate for Easter but not too much, the biggest decorations are the Easter eggs.

Love, Suzy

Good Morning Nan,
Oh my, your table looks so beautiful. I love the Egg-shaped plates and I can see the bunny on the plate as well. You have to look close, but I can see it. I'm hippity-hopping on my way there now for you to fix me something good to eat. LOL. "THANK YOU" for sharing some interesting facts about Easter. I don't decorate for Easter anymore. The kids have pretty much outgrown that now. I don't even think we bought them an Easter Basket last year. LOL. They grow up way to fast for me. Take care my friend and have a great day. May God Bless You and Yours.

Love & Hugs,
Karen H.

Such cute plates! I'm with Meggie -makes me want to run over to TJ Maxx too!
I like to decorate for everything. Since St.Pats and Easter are so close I've been torn this year with what to do. Easter is winning out after seeing your table.

I love the plates, your table is darlin'. I too am running behind at decorating, by the time I finish it will be over. I can't get over the way time flys. Seems like the more I do the farther I get behind. But your home is cute and as always I enjoy reading your blog, so interesting. RoseMarie
