I am so missing my nieces hockey games this year. She is on a traveling team and they go all over the place but unfortunately not here this season. They are based out of Pittsburgh this year, even though they live in Ohio.
She is quite good and very disciplined about it. She has the kind of personality that the other kids look up to and they respect her advice on the ice.
Her brother plays hockey too. He just turned 17 and she is 13. I'm so glad that they have this sport to keep their minds and bodies occupied and not on other stuff. They are truly great kids.
Not having kids myself, I love to attend our nieces and nephews events. We have 13 nieces and nephews. Some are married now and having babies which is so hard to believe. We are so blessed that they are all good kids. No criminals or crazies.
What sports do your kids, grandkids, nieces and nephews play?

Good Morning Nan,
Thanks for sharing the picture with us. I still have kids and my oldest daughter plays Pee-Wee Basketball and my youngest daughter is a Cheerleader. Both of my girls plays Softball in the Spring months. We don't have Hockey around here. I do enjoy going to watch their games and watching my youngest daughter Cheer. It does them good to do Sports. I am proud of mine and I know you are proud of your nieces and nephews. They do grow up fast don't they? Sometimes they grow up too fast. I just finished posting. Well, take care my friend and have a great Monday. May God Bless You and Yours.
Hugs,
Karen H.
I loved attending my children's sporting events, whether it was my daughter's soccer games or my sons' football and baseball games. We always had a rule, one sport, one music at any given time. It made life less stressful and fun. They are now
college age, but I have fond memories.

Good morning, Nan..as you know, I have a lot of g-kids and they all are in to some form of sports most of the year. Basketball, track, gymnastics, marching band, cheerleading, football, baseball (one year, we had 5 grandkids playing baseball and, boy, it kept us on the run!). I, too, love going to their games and activities and am very blessed to have them all right here close.
Stay warm, bj
You are so blessed! 13 loving and adoring people to be a part of your life. We have 7 nephews and 2 nieces. I just have the most fun with them. Susan
Hi, Nan! I have step grands that do basketball, volleyball, tennis and a nephew in marching band. It sure does keep them busy and focused on "good" stuff while having fun w/ friends.

Hi Nan,
What a wonderful aunt you are Nan. I always loved going to watch my kids. My oldest played baseball and basketball and that was so much fun! Now my youngest isn't much for team sports but he's played violin and can beat most anyone at chess! Hope you are having a wonderful Monday :)
Hugs,
Dena
My kids all played sports and we went to the games!! I had kids in school from 1962 until Kelly graduated from college in 2001!! Now we go to the grand kids games only they have grown up to and Jake is in college studing to be a coach!! now that watch him learning at college!!
Karen and Kelly are not married and they went to all Jake's games when he was in HS!!
You are a very good Aunt for sure!! Love and Hugs Grams
That should read they watch him learning in college! I hate it when I have typo!!
I have been to one hokey game in my life. Not something we have in our area. When my son was in school he played football. April soccer and ran crosscountry. I can't wait to see what my grandbabies play.
What a great aunt you are! We have another sister, Whitney, who is such a wonderful aunt to our children! With no children of her own- she showers all sorts of wonderfulness on ours! Mmm- lets see- mostly soccer, baseball, and a little horseback riding!
blessings,

Hey Nan: I, too, have no children but 2 nieces and 2 nephews. Only 2are active in sports. Allie runs Cross country and pitches fast pitch softball. Joey rock climbs and pole vaults. It's great fun watching them. Your niece must be quite good to earn the respect of her team mates. They grow up so quickly.....
Hi Nan,
When my kids were growing up they played baseball, football, basketball, hockey, soccer and track! I had 4 boys and it was crazy trying to keep up with all of them!

Hockey is such a fun and fast sport to watch! I think it is great that they both play. We are a baseball family, although our oldest played roller hockey for years. Tons of fun to go to the children's sport events.

Hi Nan! What a wonderful Aunt you are! I have a very special Aunt & Uncle too who I absolutely adore, they're like parents to me. Funny you should ask what sports our children do because I just posted yesterday about what my daughter has been doing and her success! Have a terrific day sweetie.

Oh I love an auntie who loves the kids' sports!!!! There is nothing better when the extended family comes to watch a game or asks questions! My sister used to go to my boys' games as did my mother...they miss that so much. My 19 year old still plays but not in a league any longer since he's at University..he plays on an intramural team. He still plays fast ball in the summers in a league.
My nearly 16 year old (in 3 weeks!) plays hockey in a league and he plays at least twice a week, practices twice a week, dry land training and tournaments. He's also on the school hockey team, plays soccer in the summer or fastball...this year he'll be doing soccer again after a 3 year absence.
