Going green.............

I am tired of buying cleaning products that are costly and that contain lots of chemicals. I bought some simple ingredients at Wal-Mart and I'm planning on trying some recipes for basic cleaning supplies.

Most modern synthetic cleaning products are based on age-old formulas using natural ingredients that were passed down through the generations because the chemistry was right. Going back to the original naturally derived ingredients is a way to make cleaning products that work, don't pollute and save you money. Most are found in your kitchen cupboards.
Non-toxic cleaning can give you a deep feeling of gratification in knowing that your family's health is protected, and that your home is a place for your bodies to rest and recuperate rather than promote harm.

Here's a site for simple recipes for CREAMY SOFT SCRUBBER, WINDOW CLEANER, OVEN CLEANER, ALL-PURPOSE SPRAY CLEANER, FURNITURE POLISH, VINEGAR DEODORIZER, MOLD KILLERS.
Edited to say: That's not my hairy arm in the picture. LOL

Good Early Morning Nan,
You got coffee ready this early? LOL. I'm still up waiting for my DH to get home. Hopefully he will be home around 3:00a.m. I finally put up a post while I am waiting on him. It has been a Tornadic day around here. I've posted about it also. Hope none of it has come your way. I have never thought about going green. I've heard of other people doing it, but never really considered it. Now, I may just have to check into it from the information you gave. Take care my friend and have a great day. May God Bless You and Yours.

Love & Hugs,
Karen H.

Nan, you are fantastic. It is so important, we all should go GREEN! Not to mention that we also could save a lot of money, because I also think that the detergents are very expensive.
I have an herb green cleaning cream for everything. So good, I can even clean my oven with it.
Great job and maybe we save our beautiful planet just a little bit!

Green regards from Suzy
