A tasty meal

Tonight I made a crock pot meal.

4- 6 Pork chops ( I used pork country ribs)
vegetable oil
1 onion
1 can low fat cream of mushroom soup
1 small can of sliced mushrooms or fresh sliced
1/2 cup apple juice
2 tablespoons of crushed tapioca
salt & pepper
thyme

Brown trimmed chops in skillet in the vegetable oil
Slice onion into bottom of crock pot
Add chops or country ribs
Add soup, mushrooms, apple juice, and tapioca
Add salt, pepper and thyme to your taste

Cook on low setting 8 hours

Serve with a green salad. You could make some rice or noodles if you like and serve the pork & gravy on top.

Good Evening Nan,
That recipe sounds yummy. It's making me want some pork chops. LOL. I've got some in the freezer. I may have to try this recipe when hubby comes back home. It's still bitterly cold here. It only made it up to 30 degrees today. It's 8:33p.m. and already back down to 20 degrees. Gonna be a long and cold night for sure. Take care my friend and have a great evening. "THANK YOU" for sharing this recipe with us. May God Bless You and Yours.

Love & Hugs,
Karen H.

Man I love crockpots. Those liners you can buy for them make it mess free too.

Nan -
YUM! Too bad it's late and I already ate dinner - darn! Sounds like a good meal, so I'll have to keep that recipe - and in the crock pot too - my kind of cookin!

Guess I need to go buy a crockpot. I am still hung up over how bad they were in the 70's. Oh, do I date myself???
